Resumen del itinerario

Walking the Victoria Lines is like walking the spine of Malta. This 12-kilometer stone wall is not just a British military engineering feat, but a privileged balcony that crosses the island from coast to coast. The trail follows the edge of a natural geological fault known as the Great Escarpment. On one side, you have panoramic views of the north of the island and the sea; on the other, history engraved in every fort, battery, and defense wall you encounter along the way. It is a route that combines wild nature with a fascinating historical heritage. Although the road is long, the visual reward is constant. You will pass through deep valleys like Bingemma, see chapels carved into the rock and feel the Mediterranean breeze as you head west. The final stretch, as you approach the cliffs of Fomm ir-Riħ, is simply spectacular, with the wall merging with Malta's natural landscape. It's an ideal route to do when the heat isn't pressing, allowing you to discover a side of Malta that many tourists never see. A journey on foot between the military past and the natural beauty of the island.
