Walking through the Tre Cime di Lavaredo is like entering a postcard of the Dolomites that comes to life. This route is not just a walk; it is a total immersion in one of the most dramatic and beautiful landscapes of the Alps. Since you leave the Auronzo Refuge, the limestone walls rise above you with a breath-taking verticality. The tour goes around these three gigantic masses of rock, allowing you to see how they change shape and color according to the sunlight. Passing through the Lavaredo Refuge and the climb to the Forcella Lavaredo is the moment when the Tre Cime show themselves in all their glory: that iconic image of the three towers lined up that you've seen a thousand times, but having them in front of you makes you feel tiny. But this route has an additional secret: the detour to the Cadini di Misurina. If the Tre Cime are majestic, the spires of the Cadini are wild and sharp, like a Gothic cathedral sculpted by nature. Looking out from its viewpoints is like being at the end of the world, with peaks that look like knives pointing to the sky. It is an affordable route but one that requires respect for the high mountains. The terrain is stony and the weather can change in minutes. Wear good boots, plenty of water (although there are refuges along the way) and, above all, the camera with plenty of battery. It is, without a doubt, one of those routes that stay engraved on the retina forever.
