One of the most emblematic ascents of the Iberian Peninsula. This route starts from the picturesque village of Capileira, in the Granadan Alpujarra, ascending through the Poqueira ravine to the Poqueira Refuge. From there, the trail rises towards the summit of Mulhacén, the highest peak in mainland Spain, offering spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada and, on clear days, even the African coast.
